What do you think my chances are?

What do you think my chances are?

female
Puerto Rican
Pennsylvania
GPA: ~3.95 unweighted
SAT: CR-730, Math-730, Writing-770
ACT: 33
AP: Chem, Bio, World History, US History, French
Honors: Chemistry, English, Euro History
I take all the AP honors classes my school because it is so small (16 in my graduating class and we’re considered a large class) offers but my AP scores and SAT II scores weren’t good because I always freeze up on big tests. My school is also affiliated with a college so I’ll have taken three classes there by the time I graduate.

I've applied to Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Notre Dame, Macalester, Oberlin, Kenyon, Vassar, Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth, Williams, and Tufts.

i really think that you'll be getting more acceptances than rejections.

you're completely qualified even without being an URM but URM status really tips it in your favor.

good luck =)

bump.

Can people tell me what they consider my safety/match/reach schools?

Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Notre Dame, Macalester, Oberlin, Kenyon, Vassar, Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth, Williams, and Tufts.

I would consider Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Maclester, Notre Dame, and Kenyon to be all the schools in the safety/reach category.

Oberlin, Vassar and Tufts are probably your match schools.

Cornell, Dartmouth, Williams and Brown are reaches for anyone, but you have a very good chance at all of these schools!

Good Luck! =]

safety/reach category?

did you mean match/reach or safety/match?

not to be a desperate, worrying senior but......bump?

I think your chances are very good at all of these schools. URM or not, you're definitely qualified. In all honesty, you could probably be accepted to most ivies with your stats.

Thanks for the info everyone. Anyone else?

you should get accepted to 8 or more of those 12 places, i cant say which ones because their admit stats are weird, but you should get into at least 8

chance me back at
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/635725-chance-me-i-will-chance-back.html

bump? I'll do my best to chance back accurately!

bump......

Excellent at all.

Pomona, eh 50/50
Claremont McKenna, in
Notre Dame, in
Macalester, in
Oberlin, in
Kenyon, in
Vassar, in
Cornell, eh 75/50, most likely in
Brown, 40% chance, still good shot
Dartmouth, ditto with brown
Williams, in
and Tufts. most likely in....

should have applied to HYPSM :)

ehh, I get stressed out by super-competitiveness. Which will still be everywhere in some form no matter where I go but I just couldn't let myself get caught up in it to the extreme that I've heard from like Harvard or some of the other schools. And personally I didn't think I had any shot at HYPSM, bleedblue, because I haven't invented a cure for cancer or something similar which is sadly what you almost need these days haha.

Macalester, Williams, and the Ivies are a little iffy, the rest are guaranteed. Good luck!

Also, come chance me at Small-Town Junior Looking for Advice and Chances for Big-Name Schools. Thanks!

bump. I just got accepted at Macalester if that helps.

Your stats are great. I think your SAT's are great for any school (including Brown, Dartmouth, etc.) and your GPA is very good as well. Your EC's are outstanding.

I think your two toughest are obviously Dartmouth and Brown, but you don't need me to tell you that. That being said, your chances there are very good with your stats. You will get into all the other schools in my opinion rather easily. I'm also applying to Notre Dame (you just chanced me) so I hope we both get in there. Good luck with everything though

You are qualified even without URM status, so you shouldn't have too much trouble with schools.

Pomona- Match
Claremont McKenna- Match
Notre Dame- Low match
Macalester- Congrats on acceptance
Oberlin- Low match
Kenyon- Low match
Vassar- Match
Cornell- High match
Brown- High match-low reach
Dartmouth- High match-low reach
Williams- High match-low reach
Tufts- High match

Thanks for chancing me.

Thanks for the input guys!

Your GPA, test scores, ECs, and minority status more than qualify you for all of these schools. Dartmouth will probably be the biggest toss-up, though. Good luck!
