Hopefully colleges will take your school’s grading system into account. I’d say you have a solid chance of getting into any of these schools. Brown, UChicago, and Northwestern are really difficult for anyone to get into, but your scores are well within the average ranges.

Elon University - match
Wake Forest University - match
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - match
New York University - match
The University of Chicago - reach
Northwestern University - reach
Brown University - reach

(only doing the schools I know)
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - high match
New York University - match
The University of Chicago - reach
Northwestern University - reach
Brown University - reach (for everybody I’d think)

It sounds like you come from a competitive school. I think your test scores and EC’s are good, GPA might be kinda average… but good luck!! thanks for chancing me earlier.

I don’t really know how to chance for college but I’ll try…

Your stats look pretty good, though there isn’t anything that really stands out in particular, like grabs your attention, something different. I think that in order to be noticed in a sea of applicants with similar stats your essays have to be really good and descriptive of you as a person.

I know some of these schools are very selective and I’ve noticed that sometimes it’s just pure luck where you get in; Like I know about people getting into a school with a 14% acceptance rate but then be rejected at a school with a 27% acceptance rate.

I’m sorry I can’t do any better than this, if you were chancing for prep-schools I could do loads better :o

Your stats are good enough that they should get you into most of the schools, except the highly selective ones like U of C, Northwestern, and Brown.

Brown may be a long shot, but U. of C. is known to give a little slack to applicants who write outstanding essays and show a passion for learning. If your essays fit that metric, you have a solid shot at U. of C.

Northwestern falls somewhere between the two – it’s somewhat more stats-driven than U. of C. but doesn’t expect the near-perfection that Ivy League schools demand.

So like most people here have already said, most of your schools seem to be very attainable for a student of your grades and involvement. Your consistent involvement in some clubs will play in your favor as they college will see dedication and passion i guess (especially if you “milk” them in your essays).
Brown does seem like a reach but that’s true of any ivy. Not saying you don’t have a chance but it’ll be difficult.

Just to shed a little light on the UK school that I’m familiar with. I live in the UAE and I have a friend who applied to UCL - he got conditionally accepted (conditionally is basically how all UK schools accept people who take the IB program) with a 31 predicted. A 31 isn’t the most stellar predicted, so in comparison I guess it does show that you should have a high chance of getting into UCL with your grades.

DreamUN, you should start your own separate thread. It’s gets very confusing when people over multiple pages are chancing several different people!
