What do you think the most beautiful college library is?

I just curious to see what schools have a beautifull library.

I'n my personal opinion, the Peabody library, at vanderbilt is the most beautiful.

Michigan law library. Not even close.

Colgate’s is pretty nice (almost brand new).

Many law libraries look just like Michigan’s. Nothing special.

I do agree about Yale being up there.

Peabody Library at Peabody Conservatory (Johns Hopkins).

Bapst Library at Boston College (beautiful, classic style)
Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale (beautiful, showstopper)

OSU recently revamped the main library. It’s pretty nice, but not something you’d film an Indiana Jones movie in or anything.

I’m rather fond of the library at Vassar College (style: Gothic Revival):

I think Uris Library at Cornell University is quite beautiful.

I really like ours.

The A.D. White Room is really the only cool part about Uris. The fishbowl and cocktail lounge are pretty unremarkable, but my experience is probably colored by the fact that there are always like a thousand Koreans sleeping in there.

As far as Cornell’s libraries go, I really like the Law Library and the main reading room at Mann.
