I'm wondering what kind of chances i have to get into Cornell. I'm not gonna rely on what y'all say, but I want to know if I can put any eggs in my Cornell basket or if I should concentrate on other things.

good, public HS in MN, 3,000 kids
offers lots of AP classes/IB diploma
I'm an IB diploma candidate
4.1 W GPA, ~3.7 UW I think
no class rank
32 ACT, 33 superscored (34 english, 33 reading, 32 science, 31 math 11 writing)
730 Math II, 650 Literature (ouch)
Varsity rowing (potential walk on but not recruited), soccer, lacrosse, nordic skiing
senior year I started a special needs buddy program thats going to continue next year and beyond, kinda big deal and my biggest service example.
limited community service
Server assistant at country club until graduation
Ice rink warming house attendant
Good essays
applied cas undecided as primary (honestly I really don't know what I want to major in) and didn't do a secondary school.

What's your IB predicted grade?

I do not see anything "special" about you except your service record, so chances are probably not great. CAS is extremely competitive.

I have no way of knowing what my predicted score is, honestly. I got a 5 in SL art and 5 in SL bio. I am in HL math II, HL English, HL History, TOK and AP Econ this year. I would guess 6/7 in english and history, ~5 in math, ~4 in TOK, and C/B on Extended essay. Again thats predicted, I don't any official predictions, etc.

Also I agree, I don't have much thats really unique about me at all. I have played a ton of sports but thats really limited by community service time. I have lettered in math team also junior and senior years but I'm sure that will make very little difference.

oh and ~5 in SL spanish

Bump... anyone else have any input?

Your numbers are strong. Can you apply to two different schools/colleges at Cornell University to increase your chances of being admitted? I think that you look good, but much will depend upon your teacher recs & application essays. Above average chances--which is all that one can hope for at this stage of the admissions process.

Applying to two schools just barely increases chances for admission. That said, I think you've got a chance just like everyone else. Chances threads don't really mean anything.

your predicted ib grade really shouldnt play a role in admissions, just the tests youve taken so far, and you can only take sl junior year so those arent that imp anyway.
