What do you want to know about college / careers?

I'm putting together an FFA alumni panel to talk about their college experiences and careers. What questions would you ask the panel? Would really appreciate your help, and would be happy to post some of the answers from the panel.

All questions welcome! Anyone can ask a question. Would appreciate your help!

I guess i am not sure what you are looking for here. Do you want questions that your panel can answer? Or, are you looking for a list of good questions that should be asked because the answers will offer good info to incoming students? I think there is a lot of info that would help new students with choosing majors and basically gaining insight from former students.

I think that new students would want to know:

-What college degree’s most directly end up in jobs?
-How much of a degree do i need to get a good job(ex-masters for teaching)?
-Is the student loan debt you incurred worth the degree you ended up with?
-Did the skills you learned to get through school help you with future jobs?
-Do you wish that you studied something else?
-Was getting a masters degree worth the effort and cost?
-What was the best decision/choice that you made in college?
-and the worst?

I hope this helps and is close to what you are looking for. I wonder all of these things and i would imagine that a bunch of other people do too. I know so many people whose education has nothing to do with their career, and i wonder if studying something different for some people is the answer.

greenthumb88, those are fantastic questions! Thank you!

I’m looking for good questions that should be asked because the answers will offer good information to students.
I want to ask the panel the questions that are on student’s minds - some questions will be easier to answer than others. I want the panel to be beneficial for students - so any question that students have about college / education / careers is fair game. I don’t want this to be a bunch of generic questions.

I really appreciate your questions and will post the panel’s responses!
