what do you want to name your kids?

When I was younger and actually considered having kids, I kept imagining them as twins. Jane and Janet, and John and Jonathan, and other terrible horrendous things.

Now I'm just attracted to the names of celebrities and imaginary characters I love. For example, Julianne.

girl: sharlene, vivienne, chloe, ashlyn
boy: francis (jk), bernie, lance, lewis

Boy: Blake, Bryce,
Girl: Brooke

Girl: Arrow, Addison, Leah, Amelia, Gabriel, Michael (love this for girls for some reason)
Boys: Eric, Steven, Tyson, James

I really want my kids to have my last name (I'm a girl). I think my last name is very distinguished-sounding and I'm so scared I'm gonna marry a guy named Quackenbush or something.

You can have your kids have your last name! These things aren't so set in stone anymore.

Now I'm thinking of what kinds of last names sound distinguished... I think most are just awkward.

Boys: John, Luke, William, James, Logan, Jacob.
Girls: Kirsten, Margaret, Rose, Carrie.
Although, I'm thinking my husband will probably have a say in the name, lol, so I can't be too sure...

Well... haven't really thought about it, but if I had a girl I'd name her Lauren.

socialswimmer-umm, why would the guy have a say in these matters...?
lol, jp :D

after reading the twilight series [<33] i've decided i like the names emmett & jasper, especially the latter. i think it's so cute :)

ahahahahaha :) good point...

Plato and Friendly

^Just kill your kids now. Or have an abortion or something.

I lol'd

nop, my kids will be happy lil bastards

Guy - Manfred
Girl - Manfred

guy: Piero, Kai, Emmett, Everett, Georges, Ira
girl: Ada, Bjoux, Bisous

in my experiences, having a different name is a good ice breaker

Will you marry a man named Shrek?

if hes a furniture designer or illustrator, names can be changed, my dear

Girl: Nadja (it must be spelled this way), Frances, Imogen (lol, probably won't subject my child to it, though).
Boy: Dean, Jack, Charlie.

girl: Abigail or Rose. because they have pleasant connotations to me.
boy: Michael or Paul(boardroom names, knawmean?)
