Sorry if it's a dumb question. Thanks.

Qualified academically
Qualified physically
Qualified medically

How do they notify you of this and when?

Passing the CFA qualifies you physically.

Passing your DODMERB physical qualifies you medically.

The academy usually sends you a letter telling you that you are academically qualified, but not always.

My son's BGO let him know when he was academically qualified.

Okay, thanks.

I would recommend that you do not postpone any issues with DoDMERB. Get that Q cleared ASAP.

acgeaux7- welcome to cc, and to the Navy site! Based on your question, are you interested in applying to the academy? If so- highly recommend reading Smallwood's book "Candidates Guide to the Naval Academy".... you can find it on Amazon.com or half.com.... in addition to reading the academy catalogue, it is a great place to start to navigate the admissions process! Best of luck!

2 out of 3, not bad. The first one should be scholastically, not academically. It includes your entire package except for physcially and medically; academics, extracurriculars, interests, recommendations, etc.

Are there minimum SAT and/or ACT scores to qualify academically? I am a Mom with a son applying to USNA. We are in the throes of the process.

600V/600M or equivalent ACTs are the minimum required for SCHOLASTIC qualification without a waiver. All a waiver means is that one's scholastic package must be somewhat stronger. Remember that one of the things that the package must accomplish is to convince the board that the candidate is capable of surviving academics. A subpar 600M combined with a not agressive math curriculum will not do this.

USNA69-
I've got a 1310 m/v SAT Score and a 30 ACT (33 math and science 30 reading and a 25 english-ugh) I'm retaking the SAT this weekend and will probably retake the ACT in the Fall. How do those scores look? I'm aiming for above a 1370m/v and at least a 31 ACT (with that english at a 27 or above). I'm studying pretty religiously and hope to get that SAT out of the way soon. I'm 19th out of 324 in my class and have a pretty good GPA 3.7ish (not sure).

If you would give me an honest evaluation that would be extremely helpful! you seem to know what you're talking about and I'd be interested in your opinion.
