What does a 3.0 gpa correlate to?

Hi, I'm a freshamn who just finished his fall semester. I'm here on scholarship, and I think you need to maintain a gpa of at least 3.0 in order to keep your scholarship. Approximately what grade does a 3.0 correlate to?

I'm worried because I did amazingly bad on my multivar. test, and I've missed a couple of calc and phys hws. I know I can expect a good/ok grades in chem and BME 100.

Could anyone tell me what a 3.0 is in letter terms? My high school never used the 4 point system.

A 3.0 would be more or less in the B range. So if your classes end up averaging to a B, your GPA will be close to a 3.0. So say you get an A, C, B, B+, B – this would probably be a 3.0 or more. But it depends because 4 credits courses count more.

A. 4.00 94-100%
A- 3.67 90-93%
B+ 3.33 87-89%
B. 3.00 83-86%
B- 2.67 80-83%
etc…
