What does a typical day's schedule look like for you?

I remember during my last three months of junior year my life ended. I had so much work I would lock my self in my room to finish it and go to bed late then finals came and that was like studying for six hours with thirty minute breacks in between.

Well, this is what I hope for it to be next year:
5:30-6:30 wake up, eat, get stuff ready for school
6:30-7:25 sit in the cafeteria and do homework/study/etc
7:25-2:55 SCHOOL (AP Classes)
2:55-3:15 bus home (or might be after-school stuff)
3:30-4:00 homework
4-6 tutoring people (hopefully)
6-8 (something like that) Class at a local University
8-10 (or whenever I finish my homework) more homework/tv/etc
Sleep! Then it all starts over!

this was my senior year. I ll miss this

6am Wake up, take shower

pretty boring!

My schedule this year:

6:00am-wake up/get up
6:30-7:10am-wonder why I didn’t sleep more/breakfast
7:10am- my sister and I are driven to school
7:15am-7:30am-go to my locker, talk with friends etc.
7:30am-3:10pm-school
3:10-3:20-go to my locker, talk with friends, wait to be picked up
3:25pm-5:00pm-break(eat a snack, go on the computer etc.)
5:00pm-11:00pm-homework(with the occasional break to watch tv and eat dinner)
11:00pm-go to bed

I have to agree, mine is pretty boring too!

I noticed how many of you do not leave much time for homework. My AP US History teacher last year gave 4-6 hours of homework each time we came to class (block schedule, so 2-3 hours/night) And remember, this is 1 of my 8 classes!

^Really? You had 4 to 6 hours of homework? What did you have to do? Thanks for letting me know, it’s one of my classes!

^i got zero homework in AP US history, yet our whole class got 4s and 5s

6:30 to 7 am- Wake up (shower if I need to)
7 to 7:15- breakfast, etc.
7:15 to 7:20ish- walk to school
7:30 to 2:40- school
2:40 to 5ish- field hockey (in the fall only)
5ish to 11ish- homework, relaxing, dinner, etc.
11ish- bed (hopefully this year I’ll go to sleep earlier)

Of course it depends on the teacher. My APUSH class, maybe 2-3 hours per week. We didn’t have to take notes or do reading quizzes (thus, no one read).

O ok, I’m glad some people didn’t have that much, hopefully I won’t either:)

8:00 - Wake up
8:45 - Start the drive to school
8:55 - School starts
9:00 - Show up 5 min late, teachers don’t care
3:00 - Schools out
3-4:30 - chill w/ friends or workout
4:30 - go home and chill
6:00 - eat
6:30 - 1:30 - procrastinate, play xbox, watch tv, talk to ppl, lil hw, etc.
1:30 - sleep

Most of the work our AP US History class had was tedious. We had a “notecard quiz” once a week where we had to memorize 50 important people/ideas/movements/etc. There were also reading quizzes on the book we used, Out of Many. The teacher gave us writing assignments constantly (not just DBQs and FRQs.) At the beginning of the year we had “President quizzes.” We had to memorize each president’s name, party, years in office. We obviously had tests, but also take-home tests for homework. There were group projects and various other assignments.

The sad thing is that only half the students in the the two APUSH classes took the AP test, and only half who did passed with a 3 or higher.

This must be the reason why most people on CC can take so many AP classes. The teachers at my school think that AP classes mean at least a few hours of homework every night.

Wow! Thanks for the information:) My class is going to be using American Pageant, so maybe some of the assignments will differ. I’m just hoping I don’t have that many hours of homework:/ I can see why some APUSH classes are harder than others. I’ll just make sure I pay attention and take good notes, and hopefully that will be enough:>

This summer my average day was like this:
11:00 - Wake up. Take Shower.
11:30 - Wonder what I am going to do on that day and who I’m going to do it with.
12:00 - Eat a snack.
12:30 - Say to myself “Wow, I really need to start reading those books and writing those essays that I need to do this summer…ahh, I’ll leave that for tomorrow”
1:00 - Eat lunch.
1:30 - Go outside and walk around town and see who I find.
2:30 - Call up my best friend.
3:00 - Do something surprisingly different from what I was planning to do during the day.
around 7, 8 or 9 PM I come back home.
I sit around on the computer.
11:00 - I watch T.V. (usually lame shows in MTV or the History Channel)
12:00 - I go to bed with my ipod.
1:30 AM- I shut off my ipod and try to fall asleep.

During the school year I wake up at 6:30, then take a shower, go to school, copy homework, get late to class, blah blah blah, get out of school, go to Crew (rowing) practice (I’m on varsity)get back home at around 7:00 (I have to walk home from practice, which is pretty far, and it seems further when winter is about to come). Procrastinate, do my math homework, and watch t.v.

During the worst part of Junior Year…this was my weekend (let’s not even discuss weekdays.)

Friday afternoon/night:
4:00 - 5:45 Chinese homework
5:45 - 9:00 Badminton League
9:15 - 12+ Chinese homework

Saturday
9:00 - 12:50 Chinese homework
1:00 - 5:30 Chinese class
5:30 - ??? Play practice (normally, badminton league)

Sunday
8:30 - 12:30 Hospital volunteering
1:00 - 4:00 Science Olympiad Coaching
4:00 - 7:00 Break to finish homework
7:00 - 9:30 Science Olympiad Coaching
9:30 - ??? Leftover homework
^^ somewhere, subtract homework time for play practice

…You have no idea how happy I am to no longer be involved in a play/Chinese school/Science Olympiad at the moment. All I do now (being summer and all) is intern, work and study a few hours a day. Then party for like literally, the 30th time. I love summer.

wow. I envy some of you for having free time.

05.00 - wake up
05.15 - Drive to the barn to feed horses(14), change their blankets, and turn them out.
06.45 - Drive home, shower, eat breakfast and get ready for school.
07.45 - take the bus to school.
08.30 - school starts.
04.00 - schools out. Drive out to the barn to take care of/excercise my horse.
07.00 - Drive to work straight from the barn. Work for 2 hours.
09.00 - drive home, eat, and do homework.
11.00 - Nighty night!

That gives me only 5 hours of sleep, and not nearly enough time for studying. But what’s a girl to do.
