I’m trying to prepare myself for Wednesday. I don’t want to start cheering or crying without being 100% sure of what I’m reading. Does anyone know what these letters say?
It won’t be subtle. You won’t be mistaken in the online portal notification. Relax about that
Decades ago, I got the “Congratulations” letter from Brown.
I’m sure the portal announcement will begin with “Congrats!” in big letters
Defer or Reject will probably be more subdued, “Thank you but we regret…”
I’ve not seen any of these but logic would dictate this. Brown isn’t stupid nor cruel. It’ll be clear. Your nervousness is running your brain down crazy paths. Leave this worry behind, please.
The message to you online, if accepted, is very clear congratulating you. If you were accepted, within a day or two you also get a large envelope that says congrats! (At least last year’s graphics design did) that has a beautiful acceptance certificate and a letter contained in a brown U. folder. The letter congratulates you on your acceptance and achievements; it will also remind you of your obligations as an ED applicant, and things that will be forthcoming. You will typically not have much to do until after April, unless you applied for financial aid - your parents will need to do the FASFA documentation.
