What does Brown want in the PLME 2nd Essay?

I know it says to be specific about the courses, but is Brown looking for a complete schedule design like actually mentioning all the course numbers and which course you'd take before another?

Also, where can I find the descriptions of each specific course? I can find the list of concentrations, but I can't find specifics like ANTH 0200 or NEUR 1030.

In addition, I'm actually not sure at all how the course selection system works! Does a student choose a concentration, then choose courses that are designated under that concetration? Does a student choose multiple concentrations? Or is it usually only 1?
Does "concentration" basically mean "major" or are the completely different things?

I'm sorry for asking all these questions at once! :(

First, it might be best to post a question about Brown in the Brown forum. However, I did notice this one, and I’m a current PLME.

You don’t need to talk about every single course you want to take, but mention a few and why. Courses.brown.edu should let you see descriptions on specific courses.

Concentration is the Brown way of saying “major.” Like at other schools with majors, Brown students tend to have one, but occasionally have two or sometimes three concentrations, depending on the number of required courses for each. Each concentration has a certain number of specific required courses to complete the concentration - you choose all your other courses.

Thank you for noticing!!
And I’m sorry it’s not in the Brown forum!
I(this is going to sound really dumb) didn’t exactly know how to put it in the Brown forum…

Ok, I see, so you can have multiple concentrations because they overlap sometimes - and they’re basically majors.

Hmm so for the PLME essay, Brown wants me to mention which concentration I would choose, and also courses that I’d take besides the required ones? And (this is also going to sound dumb) how many courses does a student usually take other than the required ones?
