What does "bump" mean

Bump...

Are you serious?

It is used to bring a post up to the top of the page, if the thread starter wants more responses.

Bring Up My Post

When you want to bring a thread to the top of a forum, you can do one of two things:

a) Make up a superficial post where you write a general comment or give a really crappy reply to someone’s question.

or

b) Just be honest about wanting to bring the thread to the top of the forum by writing “bump…”

It’s not funny at all. Stop ■■■■■■■■ plz.

Interchangeable with butt. Bring Up This Topic. Old joke I know.

I wasn’t trying to be funny, and I’m certainly not ■■■■■■■■.

Let this thread die now?

[Let me google that for you](http://lmgtfy.com/?q=What+does+bump+mean+in+forums)
Hope this helps!

Oh that happens in the SAT’s all time. Haven’t you heard of a “bump” occurring on the SAT’s? Sheesh. Where have you been!

Morale of my point: SAT questions belong in the SAT forum; no other questions should be asked.

Bumps is a sort of rowing race.

Let this thread die [/thread]

Haha. That made me laugh so hard!
Anyways, give the kid a break, he or she is new. Bump means please answer and it moves the thread up so more users see it meaning somebody will answer it.

Kill it! The tread never dies!

bump…

LOL you guys are funny. Bump
