what does Dartmouth look for in its applicants?

each school has something that it looks for in its applicants. What does Dartmouth look for? Leadership? Academics? Or atheletics?

Wrong. Every school looks for similar traits. They all want aptitude and drive. It doesn’t matter in what field–just show intelligence and initiative.

I’ve posted this before. Embedded in their admission brochure were specifically mentioned the following traits/characteristics.

Dartmouth looks for:

  • curiosity
  • passion for ideas
  • dedication to learning
  • sustained commitment and accomplishment
    human qualities:
  • leadership
  • creativity
  • sensitivity
  • tolerance
  • compassion
  • integrity
  • sense of humor

^ I have never seen this before, but it rings very true.

My sense of humor can get me in? Sweet :)
