I’ve just been going over some of the admission information for different colleges I’m interested in, and have come across the note “When taken multiple times, we will use your highest sub-score for each section” from the Tufts SAT and ACT Tests webpage. Does this mean what I assume it means? If I take the SATs twice, get say a 500 reading, 600 math, and 500 writing at first, and then get a 600 reading, 500 math, 600 writing, would they consider my scores to be 600 reading, 600 math, and 600 writing (assuming I send all scores in)? If so, is there any drawback to sending all of my scores to this school, and other schools that consider scores the same way, except for perhaps cost of sending the scores?
Furthermore, is this a fairly common way of considering SAT/ACT scores? I believe I’ve seen a fair bit of the other colleges I’ve looked at say something similar to this, but haven’t rechecked them yet.
Thanks for any answers!
