I’ll apologize for bringing this back…
but, what is wrong for wanting to aim for harvard? What exactly makes wanting prestige the biggest sin? I for one, have been put down by my parents loads of times when my other cousins got academic awards etc., if I ever got into harvard, I’d feel so happy knowing I have the respect of my parents! Additionally, I think the OP just loves harvard, and probably its environment to want to go there. There’s nothing wrong with asking about many people’s dream school. Stop bashing, and respect everyone’s dreams and goals.

^There is absolutely nothing wrong, except it limits choices and has a great potential for artificially created stress at the time when stress level is already vey high. As long as you stay open minded and flexible and be OK with anything else in ADDITION to your Hrvard dream, there is nothing wrong. However, there are plenty of very psyched up posts here and on SDN to see how dreaming of one particular schools gets people into absolutely wrong condition/situation. I am talking about very qualified applicants who would be just fine, if not for their negative attitude thath affects many around them. Stay cool, be flexible, dream on, but be open to ALL opportunities.

Lol, I doubt many pre-meds truly know enough about HMS to say that it has the right culture for them.

I can’t believe that this thread was started in 2006, by a ‘CC guest’ no less, don’t think there is such a thing anymore.

It’s been resurrected more times that I can count. Since it refuses to die a natural death, DBM.
