<p>I was just wondering if anybody knew why Brown wants a picture of its applicants?
Oh Yeah, and what are my chances ED for Brown?</p>

<p>another theory is they like diversity, so get a picture of your native american buddy.</p>

<p>Your rank isn't very good, however, you have decent test scores which may partially compensate. Also, I would consider not listing those "random" ECs because they clutter your resume and detract from what you are truly interested in. Although your ECs aren't outstanding they do reflect on what you care about. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't get in, but I don't see anything eye catching here. You just seem like a kid applying to college. No offense, but what makes you so special that you think you should be accepted. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm trying to get you to think about how you come across on paper. As for the picture: Why is it such a big deal? Send in a nice looking, professional picture from senior year and get on with the rest of the app.</p>

<p>well nothing reallly sets me apart i guess lol. I have an odd personality that might help but I dont have any special talents or anything. I live with my mom and little sister and I am from a low-income family so I havent been able to do anything expensive that might set me apart. I never mastered anyhting either I just do what I like and try to help out people i guess.</p>

<p>An odd personality, although different, is difficult to convey on paper in college application form. Brown is huge on taking individuals, people that distinguish themselves from the crowd. I know many qualified applicants that got into all other ivies that they applied to, but not Brown. This school likes to accept people they feel will best utilize Brown and all its resources. That is one approach you may want to take-"what can Brown do for you?"</p>

<p>Any real serious Ivy applicant should be under 5%, being 19 is a little too far back. It isn't the end of the world, but it is a major factor in college admissions.</p>

<p>Halo is right my class rank isnt so great cause im like 8 percentile when i should be 5% or lower casue after the first 5% the addmision rate drops drastically but I am applying ED so hopefully they can look over that rank and make me part of BROWN! so any one elso on my chances?</p>

<p>Just so you know, if you apply ED, those are the kinds of things they will look over, more so than RD</p>
