What does Pitt Accept/Decline really mean?

On the Pitt PsMobile Site, it says that I’ve received an admissions offer and has two buttons that say accept or decline. Will pressing accept mean I am committing to Pitt? I don’t want to commit to Pitt before my ED and EA results, and other RD schools if ED doesn’t work out. Should I just leave it be?

You have til May 1st - so no reason to act. Sure, they’d love you to commit and pay your deposit but unless you’re in a binding program (and i don’t know of any at Pitt), you are fine to wait.

You will get the same from every school that admits you.

Since you said you ED’d, you couldn’t accept anyway - because if you get into your ED school, you are 99.9% going there…you are bound to that decision.

Withdrawn as inaccurate.

So by clicking accept, you can see financials, as the letter itself was very generic and didn’t mention $$$?

Unless it’s changed recently, if you hit accept it then asks you to pay a deposit. It’s the way you commit to the school. You can view documents through the portal. You don’t hit accept to do that.

That was my understanding but the previous post made me question!

Did you ever receive your letter of acceptance?

Letter is on the portal.
