My D was accepted into Trinity as a Presidential Scholar but the acceptance letter did not contain any information about what amount the scholarship is. Does anyone know?
The presidential scholarship is full tuition and board so essentially its a full ride. Hope this helps!
I called admissions today and asked. It is a full 4 year tuition coverage but does not cover room and board. They did say any financial aid received could then be put towards the room and board.
Yes to my knowledge Presidential Scholarships are awarded to around 10 incoming freshmen and they cover tuition (app. 52 grants). Room and board are not included but you are still eligible for financial aid. I knew some P.Scholars in my year who got their room, board and books covered as well.
Anyway, congratulations! Your daughter must be exceptional to get that scholarship, as I recall all P.Scholars in my year went on to do great things (IB in Wall Street, Masters/PhD at Yale/Stanford, Fulbright…)
