What Does This Mean?????? High school students are limited to two courses or 7 units per term

I’m a high school student and am concurrently enrolled in a local community college. Next semester, I want to take 2 courses, each 5 units. So, in total - 2 classes, 10 units.

On their website, they say: High school students are limited to two courses or 7 units per term.

Does this mean:

  • I can take 2 classes, as long as they aren’t in total more than 7 units
  • I can take 2 classes, it doesn’t matter how many units they are

Is the “or” inclusive or exclusive? I’m really confused. Please help!

It would probably be in your best interest to directly ask the community college. We cannot give you accurate information. I would imagine they would allow you to take two classes for ten units, however.
