<p>Unless USC has drastically changed their procedure, I'd say your D is in. In the past, no rejections went out until April.</p>
<p>As soon as you get it, be sure to start an "OFFICIAL DECISIONS for Fall 2008." Can't wait to hear.</p>

<p>Sequoia - I'm so excited for you! I don't know of any holiday on Monday, so don't forget to check the mail. Interesting how quickly your daughter's status moved from "prelim completed" to "now reviewing" to "decision mailed." What major did she apply to?</p>

Mail today.....DD is IN!!
Priority mail package, big envelope with yellow stripe. Package contains housing info and Welcome to USC info/instructions, and certificate.
Decision was made on 23rd Jan according to notification of acceptance into major. (neuroscience)
Acceptance letter dated 25th., very nice letter.
Status change on website was made today, 26th.</p>

Hopefully, IF D is considered for any scholarship, that letter comes separately as far as I understand, right?
We wait anxiously for next week's mail, any scholarship would help us so much. </p>

<p>Yes, the invitation for the scholarship interview will come later but soon- probably next week.</p>
<p>If she is highly considering USC, send in the housing deposit (non-refundable) to get her first choice in housing.</p>
<p>Oh, I won't start a new thread till we hear for sure IF a scholarship is involved. (Besides I don't know how to set up the standard Acceptances/ stats etc. thread, you know...with the plug -in info and all)
Still absorbing this, notification was not expected so early at all!</p>
<p>The committee has acted on your application, and we have mailed notice of the decision. If for some reason you do not receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.<br>

<p>Congratulations!! From reading the archived threads, I would guess this definitely means a scholarship interview invitation is coming soon. Some people last year got them the same day, and some a day or two apart. Keep us posted, everyone! I'll just keep biting my knuckles hoping my S's status will change soon...</p>

<p>By the way, I just realized something. The day my D's status changed to "we are now reviewing" was the day she was accepted. An extra paper which advises acceptance into her particular major was dated 23rd.
So those of you who have "we are reviewing" may also be in for some good news.
The "acted upon your app" goes up AFTER it's already sent by mail, I think.</p>
