What EC's are you guys doing? (not a hook thread)

<p>I didn't even know you could found clubs till 4 days ago. I was talking to a Yale student, and he told me i could found clubs etc. He founded this freshmen help squad. I also noticed that he was a debate member, and a member in a dont do drugs, alcohol, etc. club. I then wrote a bunch of ideas down, and i am now founding a freshmen help sqaud, a dont do drugs club, a debate club, and a culture club at my school. yeah i totally stole his awesome idea for the freshmen thing, but the culture club was my idea. The other 2 clubs were just observations that his school had them, and we didn't. </p>

<p>Basically, what im asking is: <em>What EC's are you doing to distiguish yourselves?</em> Just a word of warning, we might copy your idea (just like i shamelessly did with his) </p>

<p>For example, I ran a marathon. if any of you want to go out an run one, it might help. What im looking for is ways to help the community (that just happen to impress the adcoms as well lol)</p>

<p>btw: im not just a kid trying to get into college, i really do care about my hometown, and my friend at yale did say i should use his idea. he got the idea from his cousin in minnisota.</p>

<p>One of the ECs that I do is theatre. I haven't seen anyone with that around here. I have over 100 thespian points. 1 point = 10 hours of work. I've been in 15 shows so far. I think that's kind of unique, and it takes up a lot of time.</p>

<p>from what i understand, it would be easy in our school, all i need to do is write the constitutions, get it approved by the principal, get an advisor and get it approved by student council. </p>

<p>The only hard part was developing the ideas, that is why i put up this thread-we can give each other ideas of what we can do at our school. I really doubt im in direct competition with you guys so i dont mind giving away some of my "secrets." my friend at yale helped me out, and i think it would be great if we helped each other out also.</p>
