I am struggling to make the list, what if I don’t get in UT Austin CS since I have B’s on calculus BC, I need to add some out of state colleges to my list, hoping they don’t charge that high tuition, any tips? Thanks
Well, for starters, don’t “hope” that the tuition isn’t too high. Check before you consider a school. Also check to see that your SAT scores put you into the middle 50% of applicants. You can google “common data set” for each school, or see many of those details at college navigator.
I’m not real familiar with UT schools, but why only Austin? Aren’t there other state schools you would consider?
What else are you looking for in a school? Size? Urban/suburban/rural? Distance from your home?
How are your grades? GPA? SAT/ACT?
There are so many colleges in Texas! Texas A&M, UT-Dallas, UT-Arlington, Texas Tech, University of Houston, Prarie View A&M, Texas State, Sam Houston State, Texas Southern and so many more. Add a couple more public Texas universities to your list!
What are your stats?
What’s your budget?
For CS at UT you’d need to be top 5% in your class and have extensive CS experience.
