What exactly is an honors seminar?

I was looking at this: http://honors.fsu.edu/Gfx/fall10seminars.pdf and wondering what the difference was the between this and a class (other than the fact that they seem really long).

Also, TR = Thursday.. right?

T=Tuesday
R=Thursday

I believe seminars are basically multiple classes combined, back to back. Unless I am mistaken. Usually, the purpose for this is to keep honors student close together with the same class schedule.

seminars are classes based off discussion and readings and writing papers not test…

How is that Honors Colloquium class that all Honors freshman apparently have to take?

^ When I went to Preview, I asked that question and it was obvious that the students didn’t want to embarrass the present faculty member, but they basically said that it was really easy and a free credit. What I got out of it was that a lot of different people come in and share their research experiences and whatnot. They seemed genuinely enthusiastic when talking about it though, so I don’t think it’ll be boring.

Does anyone know how long the class is?
