What exactly is CARE and what is the difference between summer and fall term?

I got this message: Congratulations on your acceptance to Florida State University and the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE). As a CARE student, you will attend FSU starting in the summer of 2018 through the Summer Bridge Program, a seven-week program. During this time you will live in on-campus housing with CARE staff and ambassadors, and engage in a variety of activities designed to support your success as an FSU Seminole! We promise you an excellent learning environment and a memorable college experience.

I know summer term is less selective, and I applied for the fall. But what does CARE have to do with it? And what does going to FSU in the summer mean? Do I still get to attend after this supposed 7 week thing, and will I be the same as other students? Thanks.

BTW, if anyone is interested, here are my stats:
3.2 UW
4.05 W
1300 SAT
6 AP 5 Dual enrollment rest honors

From what I understand you will pay nothing to go. It’s awesome, so great job! You will have n advantage over students starting in the fall. You’ll know the ins and outs. You will be a returning student for the fall. Congratulations! You’re in!

Why are your stats so different int he thread you started about your UCF deferral?

@jym626 if you’re referring to my gpa, I had a 4.0 both 9 weeks of last semester. Other than that, I have no idea what you mean by “so different”

@Jojosmother
Thanks, that was very helpful.
