I wrote about how hard work leads to success and how failure can aid you and how success comes from within.
My examples were:
Abe Lincoln, The Albany Plan of Union, A Tale of Two Cities, Chris Columbus, Creators of the Atomic Models and I think that was it.

ben carson...

I wrote about Isiah Thomas

I used The da Vinci Code and college admissions, then ran out of time. I wonder how many people wrote about college admissions.

interesting. i used worthless examples: Grapes of Wrath (i know...doesn't relate to success but I said that the family worked hard to be alive, that kind of stuff), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and civil movement. They don't relate to success, but I said that they worked really hard to accomplish their goals. I think I will get a 0 (off topic).

wow that's kind of a lot of examples there wilmington

i used Lance, Jane Eyre (eh....) and Franklin

If I remember correctly I used Michael Jordan, Andrew Carnegie, and Lincoln for success is earned. Lame examples but I know I did way better than I did in March.

all pre-professional students
MLK !!
Frankenstein- victor f. worked really really hard & he eventually succeeded in creating a living being...this was a bad example thought cuz it was bad success

Hmmmm our topic was "Is society's admiration for famous people harmful or beneficial?"

I used Abe Lincoln too and how he learned from his mistake in the 1st Battle of Bull Run, etc.
Loius Pasteur learned form his failures and worked hard to disprove the "life-force" in the air (LOL I got this from a CR passage from a practice test).
My personal experience with a trig test about identities that I failed (no ii didn't, but it was in the 60s I believe), and then worked at it and received an A+ on the next one.

I hope my examples were OK.

the band black eyed peas and how no one liked them before and they remained poor but they kept goin at it, and soon enough they produced an album and sold thousands of copies with hit songs such as "my humps" and "pump it"
what do u all think .. it might be a bit of a stretch (as in they might not have been exactly poor) but at the time i was PUMPED and wish i could hear their song again but i was taking the stupid sat :(

and some other personal examples but that was my main one

sarorah: dood I LOVE the Black Eyed Peas!! I went to their concert and it was awesome! I love that song "My Humps"!

I think that is a perfectly legitimate example

^^^^ hahahaa XD

I hated the prompt. I was brain dead and couldnt come up with anything. So...Beowulf, Ghandi and Thomas Edison (c'mon people! how can you NOT think of Edison??)

200th post!

My examples were the Counter-Reformation of the Roman Catholic Church and Thomas Edison.

Watson and Crick's Discovery of the Double Helix, The Ebola Virus, and Donald Trump.

my prompt was:

Is the influence of celebrities beneficial or harmful?

I used Alan Lightman and the Marlboro Man as my examples

For that one I used Oprah Winfrey and JFK!

I had the success prompt. My examples were Thomas Edison and Ken Jennings (that Jeopardy guy who obivously won so many times from practice and not chance). I also made up a Swedish proverb for my intro.

I talked about.......
Ah i forgot..
