What general ed classes should I take at cc?

I think I'm going to take three courses over the summer. Intro to Chem, Humanities, and an Art class. Is that too much? I'm not going to be working or anything so I'll definitely have enough time for school.

Beardy, was your major a high unit major (like biochem)?

If you do not complete IGETC you will have lower div classes to take when you transfer

You have to meet your gen ed requirements one way or another, and IGETC is the BEST BEST BEST Possible way for any major in L&S

It is better to spend 3 years at CC than to spend 3 years at UC doing lower div courses for one of those years. That is stupid and financially wasteful.

Hi Malishka31, I have a question. Would taking lower division classes give you a chance for a higher UC gpa once you transfer? They tend to be a little easier and you have more choices regarding teachers and subjects than your major classes. Seems like a good way to pad your gpa a little even if its more expensive.
