What Georgetown takes into account when making decisions...

"Please note that the Early Action review is based on information from freshman, sophomore and junior years, so it is not necessary to rush fall subject test scores. "

Wait... Does this mean that ALL fall test scores (let's say a October SAT) will NOT be considered even if it reaches the office on time?

I think what it means is that if you did better on the SAT in junior year than in October, they’ll prefer that to your latest SAT score.

If they add it to your file in time they will use it. Whether it will be added in time is hard to say. I think what they are saying is that because of the deadline, they focus on information through junior year, unless you can get more recent information to them.

Pretty much what nateheeter said. October standardized test scores as a rule do arrive in time to be used in Early Action. The “it is not necessary to rush fall subject test scores” line is mainly meant to reassure applicants that even though SAT IIs are strongly recommended, it’s ok not to have them in by EA time. If they are in, they’ll be looked at, of course.

Thank you!
