What good east coast colleges can I get into?

With college application season coming up, I'm still not sure where to apply. I'm looking for good East Coast schools, ranging from liberal arts colleges, "Hidden"/Public Ivies, maybe even a few Ivy League Universities themselves. What do you think? What schools would I be able to get into? Barnard? Johns Hopkins? Wellesley? University of Michigan? Columbia perhaps? Or am I aiming too high?

Want do you want in a school/what do you want to study/what schools do you like so people can get a sense of what you want?

You basically just asked for a list of every moderately selective to highly selective school near the Atlantic Ocean. I think at the “range” of schools you listed you have at least decent chances, but it all depends on what schools you’re actually talking about and what you are thinking about studying.

I’m looking for a college between 2,000-15,000 people with a strong political science program. I’m hoping to go into politics after college, but may go to law school first, so I would like to go to a university which can prepare me for acceptance into top law school programs as well. I also want to be in or near(within about 25 miles of) a big city. I want a school with a strong academic reputation and good connections/networks for employment. I haven’t really narrowed down my list so far, hence why I am posting on this forum, but I am wondering just how competitive I am for top universities in general, and if anyone has particular suggestions as to where I should apply?
