I am a student who lives in Alberta, Canada. I’m pretty sure that you know the system works differently in Canada - Universities only look at grade 11 and 12 marks. I’m thinking of applying to schools in the U.S. In Alberta, high school is grades 10-12 and middle school is grade 7-9. (I’m pretty sure in the U.S. that high school starts in grade 9). I know that American universities will look at marks from grade 9 - 12. So technically, grade 9 doesn’t count as high school here. Will universities look at my grade 9 marks? (I’m a grade 10)
It depends on the university; most look at grade 9 on, but there are exceptions that look at grade 10 on (e.g. University of California).
Most schools like at 9 on but in the end take 9 out…
UC’s go 10 on (yes, Senior year marks count still).
