<p>Does anyone know what happened at Oberlin the week ending in the Feb 25th auditions?
I heard that a college student interrupted a campus tour that week to complain about something that had happened on campus and said that the administration was trying to cover it up. I never found anything in the news or on CC so perhaps the interruption was an obnoxious prank. However, the night before auditions I heard there was some kind of somber gathering of students and faculty in the music building and that during a presentation the next day a staff person made a reference to how difficult of a week it had been at Oberlin.</p>
<p>My understanding is that a conservatory student recently passed away of natural causes.</p>
<p>@ParentalAnon - steeplechase is correct. It was a heartbreaking experience for all of us here at Oberlin, and the student body and administration came together quickly to honor our student with a memorial performance over the weekend following.</p>
