Picked to finish #1 in the Ivy League, and now they may finish with the worst record they’ve had in years.

One of the players died this year and it has had a big effect on the team and Penn in general. Check the DP for details.

They were a little off even before that, however.

I am wondering the same myself. We looked pretty good on our first offensive drive and shut down Dawson or the first few Harvard drives (and the Harvard PAT/FG unit :p ). But after being picked apart by O'Hagan, Penn couldn't stop anybody, nor gain anythig. I think McDermott's injury hurt. Walker isn't ready and McDermott hasn't been the same since. Even if he was 100%, Penn still would have lost the games they did. He seems to be throwing less accurately and throwing more picks the last two games. Then agian, it was against better competition, and I've never been impressed by his decision making, even in the beginning of the season. Our RB's are pretty good, but I think offense has been overall shaky. A lot of the early season nonconference TDs were long plays given up by inferior teams, and even then Penn has not mounted many long drives. Even against Darthmouth, it wasn't until the thrid that Penn found the endzone. Just my two cents.

And YALE beat Princeton today... how is the Ivy crown going to be in Providence? At least basketball season starts soon...
