What happened to the nudism thread?

I mean it wasn't sexual or inappropriate. Why is it gone?

What the hell…! I just spent >5 minutes explaining the theory of Irreducible Complexity and its implications on Darwin’s theory, and when I click ‘post,’ it tells me the thread has been deleted. God.

^Uh…why were you posting that in the nudism thread? That belonged in the abstinence thread

I know, but the abstinence thread was deleted and I didn’t know where to rant, so I figured here was the best place.
I’m ****ed.

Guise this is supposed to be family-friendly website.

What about nudist families?

How is discussing the abstinence only education we get in school unfamily friendly? And why is absolutely EVERYTHING required to be family friendly these days. God forbid we stop talking about ponies and SAT’s for one day.

Seriously. It wasn’t as though it was morbid or sexual. It was discussing an American subculture. I’m confused as to what the problem was.

@puggly just retype the cliff notes version real quick, I LOVE arguing.

^Later, is that okay? I have a ton of AP Chem homework that I saved for tonight. :(

No. I will come to your house and skin you alive while I boil you with your puppy if you DONT MOTHERING POST RIGHT THE NOW

What, the abstinence thread got deleted? That was discussing EDUCATION (and voluntary human extinction… and kind of abortion a little). There wasn’t even mention of Palin, was there?

^^I was afraid of that…

Speaking of abstinence, sex education, and abortion, did you guys read about the House wanting to cut funding for Planned Parenthood and various sex ed programs through Medicaid? There goes contraceptives for literally millions of people nationwide. Good thing we have a Democratic Senate Majority and the bill will never be passed (who’d of thought I’d ever utter those words…).

Meh…the gov’t really should not subsidize abortions. That is wrong on a million different levels. But it’s not like you need Pl. Parenthood to get birth control/condoms so cutting funding to them isn’t a big deal.

They want to cut all of the funding for sex ed in general. And Planned Parenthoods main form of business is family planning and preventative medicine. The idea that all they do is abortions is a giant misconception. They supply contraceptives to over 5 million low-income women nationwide. Cut that funding and those millions of women lose their birth control and now your birth rate increases by a **** ton.

Edit: I agree that federal funding for abortion isn’t too cool. There should be some law that says their federal funding cannot be used for abortion. But they shouldn’t cut the funding all together.

In the state of our economy do we really need hundreds of millions going to ‘sex ed’? It’s a pretty simple concept: Tab A goes into Slot B, it’s a bad idea to go inserting tabs with random people every day. You can get condoms and birth control anywhere. I just don’t see why our personal taxes can go to random places like abortion clinics/condom dispensaries that do nothing to grow the economy or make us safer, the basic premise of taxation.

Less free BC => More poor people

^Yes.

Not everyone can afford condoms or birth control. And you have to get the pill from a doctor, actually (you need a prescription). You cannot just get it anywhere.

Clinics do make us safer. They encourage safer sex practices, which reduce the number of STDs and unwanted pregnancies. Unwanted pregnancies are a drain on the economy.

We pay for people’s unemployment and food stamps when they can’t get a job. I’d argue that contraceptives and sex ed are equally as important. I know people who literally did not understand what sex was until sex ed in high school. They actually did not know what “slot a” and “tab b” were.

^That’s Tab A and Slot B to you!

Really though, that’s more than a little bit sad. The ignorance of these people, that is.

Edit: These people being the people mentioned by qdawg, not the people in this thread.
