What happens during January after you apply?

Hello!
Okay, so I heard from the good members of this community that we must report our Fall grades in January.
However, does this happen as in-person report? Or do we just report our Fall’s final grades online?

Does anybody know?
I want to know what happens in January after you apply!

This will change my schedule for Winter semester at LACC(LA City College).

Thank you very much!

You report them online

Thank you!!

The Transfer Academic Update opens up around January 7 or so and you input you fall grades. You have until January 31 to submit it for priority consideration.

If you get your winter grades before April you can resubmit it (I did), but there’s no guarantee they will see your winter grades.

They don’t even look at transfer applications until after the transfer academic update deadline. The entire process is online. You basically just resubmit your application with changes.

The only school that requires additional work in Berkeley. They have their own portal or something (didn’t apply there so I don’t know).

Wow. Thank you very much for your detailed explanation. It makes so much sense now. I always figured they would want to know our fall grades before they even look at our application. Thank you very much.

So you know, if there are any discrepancies between what you report online and the grades you actually got, any acceptances you receive will likely be rescinded. That’s why it’s secure - if anybody lies about what they report, the truth will come out when final transcripts are sent in, and any acceptence offers will be rescinded.

Right, so it’ll be really important to check if I put the right grades in. I have a history of making a data mistake. I will stay sharp. Thank you!

@goldencub What if the discrepancies are against your favor in the mistake. IE like reporting a C by accident when you actually got a B. Would You still be rescinded if you don’t immediately contact them before sending out final transcripts?

@UCmathematics They understand that people make mistakes. If you email all the schools you applied to immediately, it won’t be held against you (and actually should benefit you if they see it, as a B looks much better than a C).

You probably wouldn’t be rescinded - they would probably ask you about it - but either way, it’s best to contact them ASAP.
