I am taking Winter courses right now and on my UC application I entered these courses as "In Progress." When will they ask for these grades?

They won’t ask for them. The priority deadline to submit Winter grades was January 31st(If you received your grade for the class before January 31st. Most people’s winter session classes didn’t end before that date).

You can submit the grades you earn in your Winter classes when you receive them, but there’ll be no guarantee that they’ll be taken into consideration in the admissions process.

Cool thanks Cayton.

I was just wondering because I applied to Berkeley-Haas and I am taking Calculus 1 and Macroeconomics right now, both prerequisites for the major, and I would just assume they would want to see these grades.

You can try putting it on the update.

Otherwise it’ll be in the Terms and Conditions, just like your spring classes.

They probably will.

You should update your application as soon as possible when you get your grades from those classes and notify UC Berkeley personally. That’ll probably help a lot.

What are the Terms and Conditions?

I think he’s talking about the one you get if you get admitted.

@24luke16 - Terms and Conditions come with acceptance letters. Basically they’re there so you don’t slack off in your last semester. Some schools will just tell you not to fail any of your classes and to keep your GPA above 2/3.0, some will give you a list of grades you need to get in specific courses (like pre-reqs), some require a 3.0+ semester GPA. It varies by school, most just want passing grades. From what I remember, if you get at least a B in everything you won’t have a problem with the requirements from any UC.

But if UC doesn’t know your winter grades, you’ll see those classes in with your spring ones in the conditions. I don’t think I updated my app with winter grades, but UCs pretty much treated winter the same as the spring quarter.
