My mom just found her tax statements (or some other financial thing that you need to fill these out) so she hasn't filled out the FAFSA yet. But she did do the CSS Profile today. What happens if you didn't fill out these before USC's suggested filing date (which was yesterday)? You're still considered for aid if you are accepted, right? Is there really a significant downfall to not have filled it out by yesterday?

yeah i submitted the CSS profile last night at 11:59 pm according to my computer, but after registering it said it was done at 12:02 am. grrr.

it does not reeally make a difference...just don't turn it in too late (week max)...I remember seeing a girl post on this site that she filled out the fafsa/css profile in like April and still still received the max financial aid..don't worry yourself out too much..I can't fill it out till Monday as well because my parents are out of town

Was just talking to a USC Mom over the holidays. When I asked her why her daughter had decided on USC so late last year (after May 1) she said FAFSA/Profile troubles. They filed late for USC so she got her Financial Aid package after her acceptance and until that came in (very favorable to them by the way), dtr couldn't afford to go. Later notification seemed to be the only problem created by filing a little late.
