What happens if you retake a course you've already taken with the S/NS option?

If I have already taken once with the S/NS option, what happens if I decide to retake the class with the regular grading system? Will the grade be computed into my GPA, fulfill the Area of Knowledge requirement, and/or add more credits for me?

Thanks.

It will get calculated in your GPA. It will also count for credits. But it won’t count twice for Areas of Knowledge. But then again, you don’t get Area of Knowledge for S/NS in the first place.

That’s what I think, at least. I have never been in your exact situation. You might want to ask a counselor or whatever to be sure.

That’s kind of generic information but maybe helpful?
