I'm taking the SAT. So far, I have the blue book and official online course to study. I deff don't feel like its working and i am doing HORRRIBBBLLLEEE on the practice quizzes. What helped you study and what score did you end up getting(you don't have to say your score) ? I've heard the princeton review is good but how is it good? I forget a lot of the math too.
PLEASE HELPP!!

My son used Professor dave’s owner’s manual for the sat and got great results. He hated the other books, but this one was “speaking to him” he said.

Also, the blue book as a source of practice questions. It’s not enough to know what you got wrong and right, it’s important to know why. The SAT is a technique based test. Learn proven techniques, then attack it.

Good luck!

Scored a 580 on the March SAT for CR and 640 on Writing.

Read a LOT of books over the summer and no SAT-specific studying.

Scored a 720 in CR and 740 in Writing in the October SAT. Also jumped from a 32 to 35 on the ACT (April to September ACT).

I think the books really expanded my vocabulary more than anything, made me a much faster reader, and also significantly increased my reading comprehension. I read In Cold Blood, The Picture of Dorian Gray, A farewell to Arms, the Aeneid and the Inferno, to name some of the books I read. I suggest focusing on 19th century/early 20th century novels particularly Dickens and Austen.

I’ve heard good reviews (none bad so far) on Professor Dave’s Manual and I think I’ll add that to my list of things to do
