I can take Dual Enrollment next year (senior) so there's that.

My school is not an IB school but CAN I take IB courses? I REALLY want to take IB.

I cannot think of anything else.

I was thinking about taking online classes but I need to raise my GPA in HIGH SCHOOL. Like, I can self study 10 AP's and get 5's on them and get college credit but I won't be able to get a nice GPA boost because I didn't take the AP class in school. I think if everything works out alright then I shouldn't have a problem.

I just feel like I need to be challenged more. I am in a non AP creative writing elective which I am fantastic at. I live in NJ. I plan on becoming pre med. I might major in English and Chem. Idk, is there ANYTHING I can do? I feel so...un prepared for college.

just chill dude. You don't have to burden yourself with all that many ap's. IF you really want to challenge yourself for college, I would advise taking college courses. Maybe you can take courses at Rutgers? Idk it's just an idea but really in the end, what matters is not the courses that you took but what you learned and how you applied it. Do well in your present courses, bring up that GPA... and work hard on those SAT's. Numbers aren't everything but colleges will really consider an applicant who has consistently shown effort in school. Good luck

Maybe they'll yet you take an extra class? I took on one extra elective. That's what I did this year and my rank sky rocketed. Dual enrollment is a good option too (I also do that). Definately self-study for the AP tests. It doesn't help your GPA, but it whos an initiative to want to learn.

Are online courses considered self-studied? I am taking one and my school still use the 1.07 scale for that and I am maintaining a 107! So I guess you can still maintain improve GPA while challenging yourself?

If your school doesn't offer IB, you can't do IB. If you have researched the IB program and are really interested in it, you would need to find a way to attend a school that offers it.

The single best way to raise your HS GPA, is to find HS courses that are so compelling for you, that you work as hard as possible in order to learn the material. Maybe, just maybe your success in your Creative Writing class is telling you something that you need to listen to.

Wishing you all the best.
