hey everyone
i have a 3.4 cummulative gpa and placed in 99%th percentile for math and 93% for reading on the psat's (got a 1540 on a pratice test taken at home) and was wanting to go premed at a school like bucknell
im a sophomore too btw

Focus on getting your GPA up as much as you can, and see if you can hit National Merit with your PSAT score next year.

i would have qualified for it this year but sophomores can’t qualify -_-
also i go to one of the most demanding schools in nj if that counts for anything

That’s good; make sure you qualify for it next year and it will open a lot of doors.

Going to a strong school is definitely good; if you can get your GPA up some more, it would be really good. I had ~3.45 GPA for 9th and 10th grade, then kicked it into gear and got a 3.95 for 11th and 12th, plus National Merit, and ended up with a bunch of great options.

You can do it; good luck.

thank you so much for your help! and ya im not really happy with how i did these two years but sophomore year isn’t over yet so i still have time to recover (spanish is a killer) but i plan on doing better next year. Also how big are honors classes? this year im in 3 and i have one A- and two B+'s in them so is that key also how does that factor into my GPA? Also next year im signed up for two AP’s and two honors classes

also for a student intrested in going pre-med are language courses taken less seriously?
