I'm basically ready to submit my application. Only have to polish 3 more essays; however I don't feel I'm quite ready. I think my essays could be stronger, my scores could be better. I've been very busy with school lately and couldn't really find enough time to represent myself the best way possible. Should I still submit my application or should I wait till next year. I don't know if this wise.

Why would you wait until next year? You would delay going to college a year simply because you couldn’t have your application ready on time? That doesn’t sound too logical to me. I think you should just go for it. You also still have another 2 (technically another 3, but I wouldn’t wait until the day of the deadline) days to submit.

Wait until next year? Mathematically you have a 7% chance anyways (I don’t mean to be too blunt). For THIS you’d postpone college? If you were my son/daughter, I wouldn’t let you do that…

Why not submit it, see what happens and where you end up, and then decide? If you are not happy with where you get accepted, take a gap year. If you do get lucky then awesome… That’s what I did, and worked well.

I agree with what everyone said above. Besides, it’s not not you can’t apply again to the same college after you’ve been rejected. So you might as well submit what you have now and if you don’t get in and really (and I mean really) cannot go to any of your other colleges, just take a gap year and reapply to Yale in the fall.

I would say the same thing as well. If you don’t do it this year, you will probably regret do death while you see your friends and others go to college

You will not necessarily regret it, but just worth the 70 $ to apply now and go if you get accepted. You lose nothing (except a little money) by applying now…

Thanks for the advice.
