How will it affect me if both my twin and I apply to the same top privates?

There was a set of twins who posted last year who applied to Yale. Only one got in. I would think less competitive colleges would try to accomodate both if they were qualified.

That's sad :( . But I can imagine at selective places, the probablities of both of you two getting in would be ... very slim.

I think it hurt my brother and I at WUSTL. But you can never tell since its WUSTL.

Duke and Northwestern have places for twins to mark on their apps.

I know 2 korean twins who got in Harvard...

btw, we don't want to go to the same school, just that we would like to get into good schools, so if applying to same schools help or hurt one of our chances of either one of us getting in if we both apply?

I wouldn't think it would matter. All the counselors I've ever heard giving presentations say it never comes down to comparing students against one another.

oh, thats good then i guess, but it seems like colleges, espescially top private ones, want diversity, so if they have one of us, they'll reject the other because he'll have the same merits.

Though this theory has it's exceptions, I would expect colleges to accept either both or neither, and from what I know we have four sets of twins in our graduating class

oh so they'll look at us individually? We're the only two people applying to HYPS from our school.

Two twins I know both got into Wash U and I think Dartmouth, and they applied to their other schools separately because they wanted to do different things.

I knew twins who both applied separately, didn't tell each other where they were applying, didn't tell each other anything until they had sent in their deposits to their first-choice schools.

They are both at Stanford now...

i had twin friends last year, both applied to NYU and both entered. I actually think you will have more possibilities to enter, since you are showing interest..... I do recommend you to apply with your twin.... also.... make a good excuse for that.... just in case

bye

at the stanford informational meeting some lady and her sister both got into stanford

oh, thats cool.

Twins from my schools both got into Williams.

The twins from the double mint commercials both attended Harvard.

haha, u're not kidding?

Was that because they were in the commercial?
