If you go to a school that doesnt accept ap's, will you end up taking those same classes again?

Im planning on transferring somewhere that accepts my AP credits, but if i take the classes again will my credits be counted twice (once for taking the ap course and once for taking it again in college)?

I have never heard of a school not accepting AP credits. I have heard of schools not allowing credit based on too low scores. For example, many highly selective schools will only accept 5s, some 4s, depending on the subject.

If you scored a 4 in a subject, and the school only gives credit for scoring a 5, you still have the possibility of testing out of the entry level course and starting at a higher level. You will NOT receve credit for what you tst out of in this case at the college.

The other side of the coin is that you might score a 5 in an AP subject, yet elect to re-take in college.

The key to all this is that every school is different and a search of the school’s website or a call to the school, should give you an answer.

To answer your question? - No. You are not going to get credit twice. But as I posted above, research and/or CALL EACH SCHOOL.
