What if the interview was like none other?

The interview for me, an ED applicant who believes its a bit of a reach for me to get in, went REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY well. And I'm not just saying that. The admissions officer herself told me of how disheartened he would be if I did not get in. She also told me that I was THE ONE to go to UPenn, by my interests and attitudes and whatnot. She said that she would tell them of some things I didnt include in myt ranscript and explain to them good reasons for some of my weaknesses. My friends said that it sounded like she was willin to pull some strings to get me in.

If you actually had an interview with an admissions officer from Penn, then it would help if she was willing to go to bat for you. However, if you had the typical alumni interviewer, then it's unlikely that a strong recommendation would outweigh other factors.

this board should be closed until next April

Why should it be closed RejectedfromMIT?

Oh, and does anybody know whether it is possible to get an interview with an actual admissions officer? Mine was just an alumni interview. I'm afraid that if I email one and ask them to meet up, they will think I am pushing my agenda and working around to get in, and this may leave a bad impression :(

Because it's common belief that interviews dont really affect admission ;)

Either way, a good interview should help you. I wouldn't request an interview with an admissions officer, being that they probably won't give you one...however, I think you should be happy with the one you had, being that it sounds like it'll give your application a postive appearance.

At this point, a good interview does nothing.

do not email an admissions officer asking them to "meet up"

heyy great that your interview went well! hope you get in =) but how was the interview? could you tell me how the interview was like? and what they generally talk about in the interview?
I've got a alumni interview coming up but i've only had 2 days notice, i'm really nervous because i just don't know what to expect
It would help alot, thanks so much
