what if you can't see your decision yet for scholars

freaking crap, that's a lot of colleges.
I got really lazy after my 5th one (original goal was 8)
so I just stopped...

what's your top choice?

lol yeah it should end
so you can ansewr my question!
but yes, go do your homework
have a good day
enjoy your homework
and hit me and tako up on aim
so we can wallow!!!!
lobbynokoe and...tako will give you her's
so I don't violate some trust thing :)

Nope. Sweet Home Alabama.

Stanford is numero uno. UNC is two. Bama is dead last. Florida and Miami are slightly above bama. And everything else is kinda in between.

And yes, it was a lot of colleges, but somehow I was done with applications by early december. I never knew I was good a getting things done before...

maybe it's because you've never cared about anything so much before :)
yeah I finished nov. 1 and went...
well...I don't want to apply to UTaustin, Uillinois, or UCberkely anymore
screw that.
one of my good friends got deferred from stanford.
good luck with all that waiting crap

blowerofbubblz

How could I possibly care if people have my SN? What are they going to do? Stalk me, and eventually rape me? Awesome!

So, I guess you're going to hate me for applying to...er...19 colleges? But I'm in love with all of them - really! <3333 every single one to death. I tried to get my list under ten - but then it was like, WAIT I CANNOT TAKE ______ OFF MY LIST BECAUSE OF . I CANNOT TAKE OFF EITHER BECAUSE OF ___. And then before I knew it, I had gotten through the entire list without ex-ing a single one. There were lots more colleges I wanted to apply to, too...especially Brown. GRR BROWN!

Sorry for being one of those college whores :(

T_____________T;
well, loverly, I admire your determination.
as well as you, pacman.
as for me? my lazy butt has gotten me into this sorry predicament
where I have no 2nd choice to go to except harvard
and I mean, come on. harvard as a second choice?
even it were 1st, it's not gonna happen

Haha, no worries, Chelle, because you are still going to college. Somehow. And sometime. We'll see about the Harvard thing in April ;)

I wish I had a first choice. Luckily, I am equally in love with all my colleges. I'm actually not allowed to fall in love with a college, because I don't think my parents are contributing to my college education (or at least, not very much). Thus finances are big in my life...so no first choice for me! :(

I just have two tiers. First = LOVE IT. Second = LOIKE IT. :D

my internet is not very stable right now because i took apart my router to increase the range of it and.........that is why im using AIM on my ipod touch.....

wow you guys talk up some amusing crrapp while you're waiting. Light sabers? eating babies? christmas carols?

crippled: yeah, I assuming you just jacked up the db of the antenna?

Tried it once, dropped packets like a mofo'. Luckily I modded it through firmware hacks and was easily reversible.

Best idea is to just buy another router to use as an extension to your current one or set up adhoc networking if your computers are spaced out.

Didn't somebody say that they called and the rep said if you haven't got anything on OPUS then you didn't get semi?

If they did, I will be ****ed. Like seriously. I was hoping to at least get some kind of notification, be it acceptance or rejection.

And I managed to get off this site, get half my work done, and then get lost in assassin's creed. I'm way too easily distracted.

Tako, where else did you apply? You can PM me, if you prefer. And believe me, hearing that from you makes me feel better about myself. :P

wow, I had no idea that that word was censored on this site. that seems a bit much.

Hehe. Let's see.

1st tier (Love hearts puppy dogs!): Emory (except not anymore, because I can't afford to attend even if I got accepted...), Amherst, Swarthmore, Williams, Davidson, Reed, Rice, UMich (accepted, but also cannot afford to attend...boo international status!), McGill, WashU, UChicago

2nd tier (still <3ed, just not quite as much): Brandeis, Princeton, Harvard, Oberlin, Duke, UCSD

Oh wait, sorry, I have a 3rd tier. Schools I don't want to attend but applied because my parents made me: UC Berkeley, UCLA

:D I know, I know, Berkeley and UCLA are amazing schools. But like half my school attends a UC, so I'd really rather not stay in California...the East Coast is calling! :D

Shouldn't most people have heard via snail mail by now?

Anyways....tako, did you really apply to 19 schools?

YAR! Most schools were okay. Schools that sucked (in terms of essays):

Emory (I did the Emory application, not the common app...bad move.)
Rice ("diversity"? RAWR I don't add diversity. Boo.)
Davidson (three supplemental essays! Okay, just two + a booklist. But still.)
Princeton (so many random questions!!)
UMich
UChicago (self-explanatory)

All worth it, of course. Hopefully I'll be rejected by every single college except one, though, so it's pretty obvious where I'm meant to go :)

^^yeah the biggest drawback to applying to too many is not investing enough time into each, especially for schools where the essays really matter (maybe no mich, but definitely chicago and basically all the other top schools you applied to.

haha got it, squirrel. but yah know, I get pretty pee-ed off when you sign off in the middle of MY thought. because I like to finish my thoughts...or else they get lost in cyber space.

john - yes, we're very interesting people. duh!

tako - aww thanks. :) yeah april will be the DUN DUN DUN time of this semester. weeeeee.

and jmw - squirrel and I both called and the nasal lady said that just cause it's not on opus doesn't necessarily mean you didn't get semi. though...I agree with you, it seems unlikely nevertheless.

still no news. and i would be going crazy, but right now the impossible has happened, and it is SNOWING IN ALABAMA!!! For the first time in like 10 years. So, I shall manage to keep myself amused and distracted. Good luck to all of you to do the same.

haha word. still no news.
I'm almost over it now...but I still want my letter!
good luck to the rest of you :)
as MBJ would say, keep the faith.

Keep the faith indeed. Take it from an old timer ( 50 ) like me, words to live by through one's life. Good luck to all. BTW, my S is still waiting word on the Emory Scholars too.
