What if your grade drops in the second semester of your senior year?

<p>I'm just wondering...
I'm applying to 8 universities:
1. UC Berkeley
2. UCLA
3. San Jose State Uni
4. San Francisco State Uni
5. University of San Francisco
6. University of Southern California
7. University of Pennsylvania
8. Stanford University.</p>

<p>My grades for the first semester of my senior year: (I don't remember if they were A+, - or normal A, except for AP Bio)
AP Statistics A
AP Microeconomics A (course changes to AP Comparative Gov in 2nd semester)
AP Biology B+
Early British Lit. A (course changes to Late Brit. Lit in 2nd semester)
Global Studies II A
SYmphonic Orchestra A</p>

<p>GPA: 4.28</p>

<p>What if my second semester of my senior year grades are as follows:
AP Stats A
AP Comparative Gov B
AP Bio B
Late Brit Lit A
Global Studies II A
Symphonic Orchestra A</p>

<p>Just assume that all those 8 universities accept me.
I heard that if your grade drops "significantly", the university which has accepted you might take back your admittance. Is it true? If so, what if my grade in the second semester is like that (4A, 2B) or (3A, 3B)?
Is the drop considered "significant"?
How big of a drop in your grades is considered "significant"</p>

<p>thanks for the help!</p>

<p>YEs it's true. I think at the UC's, although I didn't apply to any, that you MUST maintain a 3.0 average throughout your senior year, or face losing your admission.</p>

<p>For other schools, avoid getting anything below a C, and try to maintain at a 3.0, although its not as rigid as the UCs, meaning, should you fall below a 3.0 it's not grounds for DEFINATE rescindence.</p>

<p>thats what's called "senoritis." Its unlikely that you will lose admission unless you get a C average or below or an F</p>

<p>That change is minuscule and won't have any effect.</p>

<p>aaaah... i see... i thought they are very picky with your grades. thank you very much for your answers!!!</p>

<p>um, thats not a significant drop, you're fine</p>

<p>what if...</p>

<p>AP Stats A
AP Comparative Gov C (instead of B)
AP Bio B
Late Brit Lit A
Global Studies II A
Symphonic Orchestra A</p>

<p>They won't care. People worry about this every year. Chill out.</p>

<p>I second the above poster...there are plenty of threads on this topic. Go search the forum for more detailed answers. Basically, prev. posts on this topic had the conclusion that if ur grades don't drop from A to C or more, it's fine.</p>

<p>I was accepted to a private school but THEN got a D 1st semester senior year..however, my GPA was 3.0 UW/3.4W. Anyone have an opinion as to whether or not this is okay?</p>
