What is a Decent SAT score (not for Ivies) ?

<p>A friend is asking me about SAT scores, and we are only familiar with ACT. She wants to know what a decent SAT score would be for her son, who is finishing his junior year.</p>

<p>This would not be a prospect for Ivy level, or even second Tier. Just your average, intelligent high schooler wanting to attend a state or regional college.</p>

<p>Bench mark and average is 1550, but I think a decent score for a local flagship would be around 1700 -1950.</p>
