What is a good minor to have with a criminal justice major?

I was recently told by my advisor that I’m required to have a minor for my major and that it’s time to pick one since I will be entering my junior year of college. I know it depends on what I plan on doing with my major after I graduate from college. I do want to become either a lawyer or a counselor. My advisor suggested by looking at the classes I’ve already taken that I should look into history, psychology, or sociology. My question is should I minor in something that will complement my major or something that will help me in the future?

Criminal justice is actually not a great major for law school…

as for a minor, choose something you really enjoy.

Go double major in chemistry or accounting. To actually investigate a crime, you have to do lab analysis or look at financial records.
