<p>What is a typical Friday/Saturday night like at Pitt? Is there usually stuff going on on campus? In the city? Lots of parties?</p>
<p>The difference between Pitt and most other schools is that there is no "typical" anything. Because the school is in the city and there are so many students, there is a ton of stuff going on on any given night. If you want to party, you can go to a house or a frat. If you want to see a show or concert, you can do that. If you want to go to a museum, you can do that. If you want to hang out in your dorm, you can do that... I think you get my point.</p>
<p>agreed. there are so many different things going on, you just have to decided based on what you're in the mood for. one great thing for a night in is to borrow movies from Carnegie Library, which is super close. they have a really good selection, and if you want something they don't have, its likely that they can get it for you. it's nice that they have a lot of recent stuff, as well as a wide selection of foreign films. Definitely get a library card (they're free!) once you get here...just make sure to bring a piece of mail with your name & pitt address on it when you go.</p>

<p>I kind of have to agree with surftb15 on oceangirl's comment. It's college and i don't want to spend my friday nights reading and watching foreign films. Thanks for mentioning the library though, I'll be sure to check that out.</p>

<p>There are great parties where you can find any girl of your flavor and the kegs are plentiful. After all, this is college ;)</p>

<p>considering it is indeed college, i assumed it was a given that there is plenty of partying available. frats and house parties are all over the place every weekend, thursday-saturday. i just thought i would mention some other things to do. the great thing about pitt is that you really can do both, and there are plenty of people to hang with whether you're out on the town or just chilling in the dorm.</p>
