I just got accepted today, but I don’t really know much about the school. I was just wondering what the school was like, academically and socially. I know the basic stuff from the website, but I want to more details; like the conditions of dorms, food, and how much work to expect. Also, Princeton Review does not rate the AU library very favorably. Do students agree with this? Basically, what are the good things about AU and what are the negative things.

Ave, I can answer the library question. Whilst our library may not be very good, we are a part of the DC school consortium so not only can you attend and check out a book at GU, GWU, Catholic, GMU, Howard, or Maryland but you can also have a book delivered in about 1-2 business days from any of those libraries to AU for pickup and check out. In addition we still have access to all of the online databases just like any other college. I have yet to have a time where i found it difficult to find a place for individual study, albeit the group study rooms are usually full.

Hope this helps.
