<p>You know, not all of Jersey is filled with guidos beating each other up… There are a lot of smart people in Jersey. </p>
<p>To what shawbridge said, he hit it right on with the fact that North Jersey is a commuter region to NYC. I live in central Jersey (on the Jersey Shore no less) and I see many people commuting to NYC for work, having to catch the train in the early morning. I saw this every day when I was driving to school. There is a cheaper cost of living in New Jersey compared to NYC, which is why people put up with commuting.</p>
<p>Personally, in my county, we have some pretty amazing students every year going to the most prestigious universities in the country. In my school at least 3/4 of the students go to great schools outside of jersey.</p>
